Enrollment Process

Because we desire to maintain a quality Christian environment for learning, the following criteria will be used to assess each student who applies for admission and determine placement:

1. active participation in a local church committed to the truth
2. information acquired from the recommendation forms and the pastor’s reference form
3. previous academic grades and standardized test scores
4. SWCS entrance exam results compatible with class standards.
5. positive behavior record from previous school(s)
6. personal interviews with student and parents
7. commitment of student and parents to uphold school standards and policies for behavior and academic work

We regret that we are not able to accept or retain students with learning or physical disabilities.

Age and Readiness Requirements

All pre-kindergarten and kindergarten applicants are tested to determine developmental readiness and placement. Students must be four chronologically by June 1st to enroll in pre-kindergarten and five chronologically by June 1st to enroll in kindergarten. Priority will be given to siblings of current students and applicants who do not test developmentally ready for kindergarten. First through twelfth graders are also tested to determine academic readiness for eligibility and placement.
